Johor Darul Ta'zim defender Fadhli Shas has vowed to keep fighting for his place at the heart of the Southern Tigers's back-four, but he knows it'll be a hard fought battle with the return of Aidil Zafuan after short spate of injury and Harimau Malaya campaign.
The 23-year-old faces tough competition from the likes of the senior players, Aidil Zafuan and the Singaporean, Baihakki Khaizan. Fadhli understands that it will be hard for him to keep a regular spot in Jimenez' starting line-up but he is adamant to stay.
After his return from the national duties, he gained confidence and determination to grab his place and the experience triggers Fadhli to prove his worth to Johor DT with an impressive campaign if he gets the chance to play.
The outstanding defender showed a brilliant performance when the national team visited Yemen for the Asia Cup qualification with a 2-1 victory. He believes Cesar Jimenez would make a wise decision regarding his place at the back four and he hopes he could contribute more for the Southern Tigers.
